Who Can Race?

You don't need to be a seasoned pro or have raced in the Tour de France. Although there certainly will be high calibre cyclists arriving from all over North America, at the very least, all you need is a $30 Cycling P.E.I. Citizen Membership to participate in this event. Of course, with a Cycling P.E.I. Citizen Membership, you won't be riding against the Elite Men or Women but you will get a great opportunity to experience bicycle racing in the province. You can pick up your Cycling P.E.I. Citizen Membership during registration before any of the events.

There will be three different starts for each race stage, each with the following categories:

Start Number One
Open Elite Male 1 and 2
  • open to any Master Males or Senior Male with a cat 1 or cat 2 license
  • open to any Junior Male with a cat 1, 2, 3, or 4 license
Start Number Two
Open Elite Female 1 and 2
  • open to any Junior, Senior, or Master Female with a cat 1 or cat 2 license
  • open to any Master Male A
  • open to any Senior Male cat 4
Start Number Three

  • open to any Junior Female (with cat 3 or 4 license)
